Hi Amanda,

What do you think about adding Horseback Riding to the Manitoulin Experience? Specifically, I was thinking about things like Honora Bay's overnight trail rides, etc? Check it out here

Anyways, I was just made aware of this site through a facebook contact - congrats - love it!

Regards,
Gina Geick.

Sign me up! I am really looking forward to my participation on this wonderful experience. Chuc and Linda Wilson are lovely people who are sure to provide a wealth of education and true Manitoulin hospitality. I purchased their basil jelly recently at the Manitoulin Trade Fair (and plan to again at the Manitoulin Farmers Market) and the best way to describe it in my opinion is that it tastes "as fine as champagne!"

The one thing I love about Manitoulin Island is the lack of light pollution that we have here. Recently, I had to drive to southern Ontario and I couldn't believe how bright it was. Manitoulin is well known for its stargazing! The stars feel like their at your fingertips!

I recently met the proprietor of this resort. She has an infectious spirit and anyone taking advantage of this Writers Get Away is in for a treat.
Not only do you have a great host but writing on the quiet, pristine shores of Lake Manitou is sure to inspire you.

That's a great experience for kids. It doesn't even look like work with the fun they are having. Kudos to those kids parents for instilling that volunteer spirit.
